RULES for SKIING and SPECIALTY CRAFT

WATER-SKIING, AQUAPLANING

HOURS OF ACTIVITY -Water-skiing, aquaplaning or similar activities are permitted between the hours of 10:00 am and 7:30 p.m. only.

DIRECTION OF TRAVEL -All water-skiing and similar activities shall be conducted in a counter-clockwise direction around the lake.

SAFE DISTANCE - No person who is water-skiing or engaged in a similar activity may get within 100 feet of a Personal Water Craft or Specialty Prop Craft or allow the tow rope to get within 100 feet of a Personal Water Craft or similar boat.

PERSONAL WATER CRAFT AND SPECIALTY PROP CRAFT

HOURS OF OPERATION -The operation of Personal watercraft, Specialty Prop Craft or similar craft are permitted between the hours of 10:00 am and 7:30 p.m. only.

 SAFE DISTANCE -It is illegal to operate a Personal Water Craft or similar craft within 100 feet of the following:

  1. Another boat towing a water skier or person engaged in a similar activity.
  2. The towrope of another watercraft towing a water skier or person engaged in a similar activity-
  3. A person engaged in water-skiing or a similar activity

 

TOWING -A Personal watercraft or similar craft must have a minimum of 9 feet 11 inches and be designed to seat at least 3 persons when towing persons engaged in water-skiing, aquaplaning or similar activity-

FACING BACKWARD -It is illegal to operate a Personal watercraft, Specialty Prop Craft or similar craft while facing backwards.

NOISE LEVELS -Personal Water Craft, Specialty Prop Craft or similar craft may not exceed the maximum noise levels set for motorboats. You may not modify a Personal watercraft or similar craft in a way that amplifies or increases the noise level above the legal limit.
