Raffle Permit
Recent changes in Illinois law require organizations and groups holding a raffle within the Village of Wauconda to obtain a raffle permit prior to the event. A ‘raffle’ is defined as a type of lottery in which contestants purchase tickets in an attempt to win a prize. (If raffle tickets are given away at no charge, a permit is not required.)
Organizations that the State of Illinois allows to hold a raffle include charitable organizations, educational institutions, fraternal organizations, nonprofit businesses and veteran’s organizations. In order to obtain a raffle permit, CLICK HERE. A completed Raffle Application Form must be submitted three weeks before raffle activities begin. Thanks for your cooperation with this new State regulation.
