The Wauconda Police Department provides public safety services to the Wauconda community 24 hours a day.  The Chief of Police has a professional team of 2 Commanders, 6 Patrol Sergeants, 1 Detective Sergeant and 16 well trained, fully equipped, full time police officers.  There are no part-time police officers.

The Department operates its own jail and Communications Center and handles emergency calls for both the Fire and Police.  It has a fleet of 10 modern and well equipped marked police cars.

The Department’s civilian staff consists of an Administrative Assistant, 10 Telecommunicators and one part-time Community Service Officer.  Records duties are handled by civilian personnel. Click Here for a Chart of the Organization.
