Wauconda Police Divisions
The Department is sub-divided into two divisions. The central philosophy is that everything is done to support the officer on the street who patrols the neighborhoods and businesses. To that end, the two divisions are Operations and Support.
Further subidivisions are Units, which function within the Division; Sections that function within the Unit; and Teams that function within the Section.

Operations Division
The Operations Division is adminstered by a Commander who generally oversees all uniformed operations and special events.
Support Services Division
The Support Division is also administered by a Commander who generally oversees the Communications Unit, Records Section, Marine Team and Invesitgation Unit.
