We now have the ability to notify and update you within minutes of time-sensitive situations. We want to communicate concise, timely information to help contain rumors and maintain safety while providing information and reassurance to you and your neighbors.

The Wauconda Police Department provides public safety services to the Wauconda community 24 hours a day. The Chief of Police has a professional team of 2 Commanders, 6 Patrol Sergeants, 1 Detective Sergeant and 16 well trained, fully equipped, full time police officers. There are no part-time police officers.

The Department operates its own jail and Communications Center and handles emergency calls for both the Fire and Police. It has a fleet of 10 modern and well equipped marked police cars.

The Department’s civilian staff consists of an Administrative Assistant, 10 Telecommunicators and one part-time Community Service Officer. Records duties are handled by civilian personnel. Click Here for a Chart of the Organization.
